Mountain Blvd Montessori School

Mountain Boulevard Montessori School was founded in 1983 to address, not only the demanding and complex needs of today's pre-school child, but the family as well.
The school was founded with four goals in mind. First, your child's school should be as environmentally and eco-friendly as possible. Second, the school should be a safe haven for learning.
Third, the school should be educationally, cognitively, and emotionally stimulating. Finally, your child's school is your family's partner in the educational process and should be ready to assist the family in addressing any issues affecting the student.

My daughters have been at the school for about 3 years now. I can def say that we have had a wonderful experience with the staff and families that are at the school. My kids are spoiled in the sense that this school is more of a family environment which so far has cared for my girls as if they were their own. The girls have learned and grown so much since starting. They 99% of the time do not want to leave and or look forward to going to school. It's a punishment if they are not allowed to attend school. I also appreciate the language emersion piece, which to us is an added bonus as the girls are learning Mandarin and Spanish. Again like previously mentions this is a hidden gem.

My child has absolutely thrived at Mountain Blvd Montessori and has been there for over 2 years now. She has and continues to be a happy, smart, kind, caring child that can read and count to 100 at the age of 4.The staff and owners are so caring and take the time and effort to get to know every child. Ms. Kathy is the most amazing person and teacher and loves every kid as if they were one of her own. We receive regular updates regarding staff and events, and all parents are welcome to volunteer at the school. I highly recommend this school and every individual on staff.

My husband and I viewed the previous review and decided to take a "look see" at this school. Boy, are we glad we did ! Our daughter just started and it was so thrilling to watch her jump right into the class. This is a great first step for my child. I highly recommend it.

This is the best value for quality Montessori education for a family on a budget. My husband and I toured all of the Montessori programs in Oakland and Berkeley. Most were at least $1600 a month and some were even much as $2100 a month. For environment, curriculum, and value Mtn Blvd Montessori is the leader. This is truly a best kept secret.
