In proclaming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Church has always recognized the importance of education.
The Carmelite Order shares this mission of the Church to preach Jesus Christ and His Gospel, and bring its own inspiration from the examples of the prophet Elijah and the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Carmelites are committed to a life of prophetic witness to the presence and love of God, and of active service to others.
Mount Carmel High School is committeed to these same goals.
A life of prophetic witness to the presence and love of God for all challenges us to provide an education to students of different academic abilities.
The formation in young men of a deep faith in God that will lead them to a life of active service to others demands that we address the needs of the whole person - spititually, intellectually and physically.
Mount Carmel accepts this challenge by incorporating these ideals into all of its programs and policies.
As we face the challenges of a changing world, our fidelity to our Carmelite heritage will enable us to educate young men of character who will carry that vision and heritage with them as they seek their own vocations in the world.
