We are wrapping up our second year as a Slade family, and we couldn't be more happy with our decision to join this community. From day one, we were thrilled to be part of a community that prioritized education, valued parent involvement, and emphasized good values. The teachers we have had are wonderful, and we appreciate the partnership we have built with each of them. The various staff members we have interacted with have been a joy as well. This year was made even better by the hiring of an amazing principal and vice principal that took everything we love about the school to a new level. They are ever present and always smiling, laughing, and engaging with the students and families. Most notably, they are seen greeting and saying goodbye to the students every day while blasting fun music through a portable speaker. They partnered with their entire staff to build a stronger community by prioritizing open and timely communication, bringing the students physically together more, making the day-to-day things more fun, inviting families to participate in more activities, holding more events for the community, and something my kids really enjoy - introducing weekly spirit days (kids wear spirit wear instead of uniforms). While we are ready for summer break and all of the fun things we have planned, we know that when summer comes to an end we will be looking forward to another great year.

Our oldest daughter just graduated from Monsignor Slade Catholic School (MSCS) last June 2019. From Kindergarten to 8th grade the staff were fantastic, with the right balance of nurturing, care, and education. MSCS offers so many opportunities from the band, musicals, sports, even Girls on the Run (GOTR). We also have a younger daughter who attends MSCS who started in the preschool and early childhood education program and is now in 5th grade. Both of my daughters gained an appreciation for giving back to the community through the many programs and drives Slade sponsors to support and donate to the community. We are blessed to have become part of the Slade family and tradition and for both of our daughters to have matured and gained a well-rounded education at MSCS.

Both of our sons attended pre-school at Slade and their Educare (before and after care) program and absolutely loved it! They excelled in basic learning fundamentals to help prepare them for elementary school. The staff is super kind and highly experienced with children at the preschool level. Mrs. MacFarlane is such a patient and wonderful Pre-K recharge and both of my sons absolutely loved being in her class.

Our son went to Monsignor Slade from Pre-K thru the 8th grade graduating in 2018. We now have a daughter attending MSCS and she loves it. We believe that MSCS is an exceptional school with exceptional teachers always challenging the students and mentoring their catholic faith. Our son participated in the MSCS Award winning band for several years, athletics and other school activities (Plays, Dances and Fund Raisers). The school is clean, welcoming and continues to be enhanced with the latest in technology. The administrative staff continues to improve upon communications with the use of technology and the after-school programs and/or clubs are evolving. MSCS offers a before and after school program that is sufficient should you need to drop off early or pickup late.We give it two thumbs up!

Slade is a great school that offers a caring community of teachers and families. We chose Slade because of the small class sizes, the emphasis on STEM starting at a young age, and for the overall feel of the school. We are happy to have our child at Slade and to be a part of the community!

Monsignor Slade is an exceptional school with lots of opportunities for the students. My children have graduated well prepared for high school and beyond. The teachers are caring and supportive, and the new administration is doing well to show their love of the students and the importance of the Catholic faith, as well as their commitment to academics and technology. We wouldn't want our children anywhere else!

Caring Christian environment. Strong academic program and teachers who thrive on seeing the students succeed. Extracurriculars too numerous to mention.
