Students are very supportive of each other! That is the biggest asset of the school. The Upper School principal is very caring. However, policies aren't well thought out or consider how they effect the parent or student. Regarding administrative positions, hiring seems to be based on your relationship with those currently in power and not based on competence. Student positions, even grades, and most opportunities are also based on your or your parents' position in the school. Teacher effectiveness and good teaching practices are extremely varied. You are rolling the dice on this. You may get a fabulous teacher, accurate grading, and caring or you may get very incompetent, poor and inaccurate evaluations, and indifference. Most likely a combination unless you have a certain last name. This also means the parent and student experience can be widely varied. The student services department is very caring, but they are not able to accommodate the demand. The school is growing too fast to serve students well. Again, poor planning.

We have had 3 children graduate from MVCA and one of them started there in kindergarten and loved every year from k-12. Our family can tell you that MVCA was the best place for our children to get a high quality education and be surrounded in a Christ-centered atmosphere! The loving environment and the opportunities for learning afforded our children to learn and grow into young adults with bright futures and a solid foundation for life. We highly recommend the academy for any age child and for you parents, you will love spending time at school too !!

Our family has been blessed to be a part of the MVCA Community for 5 years and each year only gets better. We have a child in Lower School and a child in Upper School. Both of their experiences have been sculpted to meet them where they are academically, and positioned them to thrive. MVCA relentlessly pursues excellence in every area and works for constant improvement. I feel I am heard and appreciate the openness of the Administration. Discipleship and character building are deemed important as seen through opportunities for service projects, chapels, and small group discussion. MVCA athletics and fine arts are programs that challenge, hone, and foster the passions that are deposited in our children. Athletics are competitive and fine arts are seriously talented. Our children will be well prepared for success beyond MVCA.

Our family is blessed to be a part of MVCA. MVCA feels like a family. The administration and teachers positively build into the students and challenge the students to grow academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. They care about the "wholeness" of each individual student, and I have watched each of our children thrive here. They are developing Christian character with a servant's heart and a desire to grow closer to the Lord. They thrive as leaders, as students, as role models, and as a friend. MVCA well equips our children to explore and grow in the world around them. It teaches them curiosity, empathy, and love. Our students move on from MVCA well equipped to be a light for Jesus in this world.

We have 3 kids at MVCA and would recommend this school if you are looking for a well rounded education. MVCA functions like a public school by offering many activities you would find at a public school, but with a Bible focus. Our boys are learning how to apply and use their beliefs in today's world. Truly a priceless acedemy and we are grateful to have found MVCA.

Being associated with MVCA as a grandparent for the past 10 years I can attest to the fact that you will not receive a better God-centered and biblical worldview education anywhere in the city. Also, the academics are high and the extra-curriculars have great variety to accommodate many varied interests. I am continually amazed not only at my grandchildren's academic knowledge but also their level of spiritual maturity and biblical awareness. You will not encounter a better place to educate your child(ren) where the faculty and staff are committed to academic and biblical excellence.

i would recommend MVCA to anyone! We have had 2 kids graduate that were very well prepared for the academic demands of a top university. The teachers at MVCA CARE not just about the academic side, but also the spiritual and emotional side of the student. I thought I was paying for academic development, but I got an even higher return in character development (based on a Biblical worldview). Thank you MVCA!
