School Notes

  • Our Educational Philosophy:
  • Educating the Whole ChildIntellectually, Physically, Emotionally & Spiritually
  • Children'searly years of development are crucially important. The child's optimum development is a result of parents and teachers working together to establish age appropriate goals and methods that best enhance the child's physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual growth.AT KBPS we believe that children learn best when they are offered learning opportunities based on their own interests and developmental level. Developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate the child`s imagination and learning are key to a child's success. Self-esteem and self reliance skills are an important aspect in early childhood and we emphasize this by teaching children how to communicate their feelings and by promoting pride in their individual and group projects. Students at KBPS are exposed to: Academic Readiness, Language and Literacy, Critical Thinking, Social Relations, Initiative, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Creativity, Music, Artand Movement. All these activities are nurtured in a loving environment. Teachers ask students open ended questions and promote conversations to foster our early learners` growth and language development both in English and in Spanish.Key Biscayne Presbyterian School believes that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the source of all truth. Without Him, life is meaningless and education is misdirected. Each teacher will endeavor to weave the wisdom of God's Word into the classroom experience in such a way that the child sees the relevance of Scripture, applying it to every area of his or her life.Children are treated as individuals, loved as God's creation and encouraged to work at their own level of development. Children are nurtured in the belief that everything comes from the triune God, is sustained by Him and is directed to His glory.
