School Notes
- Jubilee is a unique school where the love of learning begins. Our integrated approach to education is built arounda distinctmonthly unit of study for each grade level that is integrated across the subject areas taught. This enables students to see the connection of concepts, grow in curiosity, and build a life-long love of learning. Our teachers bring faith that is focused on the love of God in Jesus Christ into the classroom, which builds character and a quest for excellence instudents. Every month students participate in hands-on projects, and develop written and/or oral reportson a subject that ties into their unit of study. Extensive field trips give meaning and purpose to the unit. Overnight field trips to Philadelphia and Gettysburgin 5th and 6th grade complete the Early American and Civil War units. Every March, an all-school unit focuses on historical, geographical, and cultural aspects of a particular country.Parents are encouraged to participate in their child's educationby volunteering in a variety of operational or strategic programs. The family atmosphere crosses all economic and social backgrounds, with siblings and parents playing a key partin our everyday educational experience. An after-school and before-school program is in place to help familieswith childcare.

For the past 8 years I''ve watched my three children grow academically and spiritually as students at Jubilee Christian School. The school has provided them with a strong foundation to build upon in high school, higher education and their vocational calling. In addition, it has enabled me to become involved with my children's education to an extent that I could not in the public school setting, and enabled my husband and I to build close friendships with other families who want top-notch Christian education for their children.

I have high praise for my children's educational experiences at Jubilee. My children's attitude toward attending school, approach to daily classwork and special projects is a dream come true as a parent. To hear them say they love school, can't wait to start each new topic and be bubbling over with things to tell me about the school day is something I hoped would happen, and we are living it! We chose Jubilee for many reasons, but one of them was not the convenient proximity to our Canonsburg home, yet the bus ride has worked out well. Furthermore, each time I am able to participate in my child's classroom, chaperone a field trip, or serve as recess monitor, or contribute personal expertise to an area at Jubilee, I am reminded how fortunate I am to have access to my children and their daily education. What we imagined as parents, believed we had found at Jubilee is now being achieved through my children's education!
