- INDEPENDENT THINKERS
Hutchison founder Mary Grimes Hutchison was ahead of her time when in 1902 she envisioned a school to develop young women who are resilient, independent thinkers. In a supportive, all-girl learning environment, girls are encouraged to speak their minds, whether they are leading a parent conference or engaging in a lively discourse on world events. Beyond school walls, Hutchison girls are defined by their poise and confidence. - FORWARD-THINKING FACULTY
We understand how girls learn and what helps them succeed. We set high standards for what each girl should gain from her time at Hutchison. Our exceptional teachers make it happen. Hutchison`s forward-thinking academic culture thrives on teachers who constantly challenge themselves to grow professionally and evaluate emerging trends in their fields. Visiting Scholars enhance the classroom experience for students and teachers alike. - A SENSE OF PURPOSE
Hutchison prepares girls for lives of integrity and character. We are founded on Christian principles and values, and we welcome students of all faiths and teach appreciation for each other's differences. Regular chapel meetings, planned by the girls with faculty supervision, are a chance to reflect on common values and grow from sharing different perspectives. Our unique leadership development program in Upper School weaves together internships, service learning, and philanthropic literacy opportunities to help girls develop and implement sustainable solutions for pressing societal issues.

As a current senior, Hutchison School has been such a consistent home for me throughout my whole life. The students and faculty truly care most about seeing you succeed. I will never forget one of my teachers. He worked constant hours to see me perform to the best of my ability. I have noticed that my class has been able to really understand and listen to one another. I have never had a conversation with one of my peers and felt as if I was never heard. I am thankful to have spent years with girls who listen, understand, and more importantly, one's who really care.

I have always felt supported in all areas of my academic and athletic career. The teachers are simply unparalleled; they are all genuinely invested in their student's academic success and overall wellbeing. Hutchison has prepared me academically and socially for the future, while also letting me learn and grow in a comfortable and loving environment. I have tried out activities that range from bowling to journalism to theater. I am very grateful for my time on the stage and have enjoyed being able to delve deeper into my creative and comical side. There really is a niche for everyone and even if you don't know what you are good at quite yet, your teachers and advisors help you find a path and activities you will thrive in.

Hutchison has been one of the most amazing parts of my life. Between the friendships I've made, the teachers I've had, and the faculty that has supported me, the people here are just incredible. Equally as amazing are the academics at this school. I have had the opportunity to explore all different subjects, take the classes I feel most interest me, and go beyond the classroom. Hutchison works to tailor its education to each individual student, which I think is the most phenomenal thing about this school.
