Golden Harvest Montessori School offers parents the security of knowing that their children are receiving the best care and developmental guidance available.
Our goal is to nurture a healthy child: independent, self-confident, social and motivated.
Language The child learns the oral language naturally; he automatically takes it from his environment.
The work of the teacher is to expose him to the equivalent forms of written language, which he learns through the same general pattern of development.
The Montessori child begins reading when he is ready and proceeds at his own pace. His experiences in practical life and sensorial education serve as a preparation for this.
The sandpaper letters provide a phonetic basis for reading.
The child's desire and sensitivity to touch are utilized by these letters that are cut out of sandpaper and mounted for tracing.
With cut out letters, the child builds his own words on a mat.
The material frees him from the fatigue of his still developing writing skills, and yet gives him the opportunity to pursue his interest in words.
These activities serve as a preparation for the time when the child assimilates what he knows and explodes into writing.

My child was enrolled into GHMS about two year and a half ago. I liked the teachers and the staff at the school. The are loving, caring and nurturing towards the kids. They kept kids occupied in doing creative work, art, learning, singing all the time. The school did a lot of art work and writing, which improved kids motor skills. They had yoga and drawing classes as well. I use to have over 8 -10 papers of art work and school work every week to take home. The school celebrated all occasion from New year`s, MLK, Chinese New Year, Valentine`s day, Diwali, Halloween, Easter, Dr Seuss` Birthday, Christmas and more. In addition to this they had annual programs for kids, where children participated in dance and singing performances- Luau picnic, Diwali performance, Thanks Giving and annual fashion and talent show. It was wonderful to see how the school had helped kids get over stage freight and show off their talent. Group performances enabled kids to work together in teams and co-ordinate their acts/ performance. There are abundant activities at this school that helped kids explore, learn and grow .The school does a lot of Phonics and Math along with Art and science. The teachers took time to understand and learn about each kid`s likes and dislikes to help identify their area of interest. Most importantly, I was able to reach out to staff or the principal (Ms. Safia) with ease and was able to discuss anything about my child candidly. I will recommend GHMS to any one who is looking to get their kids a head start in life and most importantly, have fun.

For me, my hubby and my son, Golden Harvest Montessori is a blessing. We came from India and this school was the first experience in US. My son had a speech delay problem. But Ms. Zaineb and Ms Safia - Director of school, worked very hard and my son started picking language and speaking in just three months. He was 4yrs old then. He could write alphabets and numbers on his own. He is loved and cared by all the teachers in school. I recommend this school to all the parents who want their child to get the best of pre-school and Kindergarten education. Even now when my Son is going to public school, he still talk with his teachers in Golden Harvest and is a part of Family of Golden Harvest Montessori school. Thank you Teachers for supporting us and making my son grow so fast.
