Notes for Prospective Students
Geneva has very few "hard" requirements for admission. One parent
needs to sign in affirmation of our Statement of Faith. Parents
have to understand and approve our financial, admissions,
discipline, and other policies. Though these requirements may be
quickly passed, we ask families to examine whether their home
values align with ours. We have a series of questions on our
website, for instance, which ask, Are you a fit? The questions are
as follows: Is your family committed to Christ? Are you committed
to well-behaved children? Do you value academics and a Christian
work ethic? Are you committed to consistent involvement with your
child’s education? We also have a very detailed statement of our
Portrait of a Graduate, and the Aspirations of Geneva Families.
Parents should read those documents and ask themselves, Is this
right for us? Is this what we want for our children and ourselves?
We trust that God will bring to Geneva like-minded families, and we
ask new families to do the sometimes challenging work of thinking
through these issues before applying for admission.
