As a parent coming from Chicago private and public schools, I can say Forest Ridge is more academically rigorous than our previous experience and much more diverse than top schools on the Northside of the city. Yet it manages to be devoid of political advocacy, teaching kids to think rather than taking stances. It is a warm, family-like environment that embraces everyone, including newcomers of all races, religions, nationalities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. It is so exceptionally diverse and warm, yet seriously academic. What a K-8 prep school in 2021 should be!

My daughter has only just started attending FRA last week. I cannot express the shock of how motivated every teacher is. She is in their Young Scholars program (pre-k) and on the second day came home speaking some words of Spanish. The amount of technology they use is astounding, between the use of Instagram to publish photos almost daily to show parents of what they are doing to the 3 year olds using I-Pads. I so far cannot say enough about this school!
