Christ Lutheran School

Christ Lutheran Schools offers a well-rounded Christian education to students from the entire community. Students perform above national averages in all subject areas and have many opportunities to go beyond the norm in a variety of areas. In addition to the basics of religion, reading, math, science, social studies, literature, English, and spelling we offer Spanish, band. and choir in grades 5-8. We also participate in a bi-annual science fair, and other programs such as robotics, and Starbase. All students have art, physical education, and music every week. Our students may also participate in volleyball, basketball, track and field, soccor, and cross country teams with other private schools through the Albuquerque Christian Athletic Association. In addition we have a student council that works on projects for the school, and other after school clubs, including Legos, Key Club, and more.

School Notes

  • Christ offers small, single-grade classrooms in each grade. Our students in grades 6-8 operate in a middle-school environment, switching classrooms for math, science, social studies, literature, and English. They also have a fine-arts elective, selecting between band, choir, and art. More than half of our graduates take honors and AP classes in high school. One of our graduates was the Valedictorian at Sandia High School in 2014.
  • After high school our graduates have gone on to colleges and universities all over the country including Brown and Columbia from the Ivy League, Regis University in Denver, George Mason University, Bulter University, the University of Southern California, Oregon State, Colorado State University, and many more. One graduate is a veterinarian, and another is working on his doctorate in engineering at New Mexico State University.

My Children, Ainsley and Ashton attend Christ Lutheran School. The entire school from the staff to students have been such a positive impact on our family. This is truly a Christ-centered school where not only my children flourish but our family does as well. Gods Blessings!

Both of my children went to CLCS, it gave them a solid foundation for success in HS and College, and in life.

Christ Lutheran has been an outstanding school for our son. We found it during COVID, in a desperate search for a school that would provide the environment my son needed, and we were so fortunate to be referred to this school! We've now spent 4 years, and will continue to stay - my son has asked to because he is happy, connected, feels safe, and likes the structure. Teachers and staff are intentional with education every step of the way, topics are well-rounded, and there is a lot of communication to parents about what children are learning and doing. We've also really appreciated the availability of clubs and extracurriculars, and there are also special events through PTA and partnerships with other schools. Another big aid to us has been before/after school care and summer programs.

We have been very happy with the small class sizes for our middle schoolers. We also love the balance of academics and play in the preschool!

Christ Lutheran School is a true blessing. My daughter has attended this school for five years, and she will remain at Christ Lutheran until she graduates from the eighth grade. The curriculum is top-notch, the teachers are extraordinary, caring, and attentive. The principal, Mrs. R., has an open-door policy, has incredible people skills, and is highly intuitive. The staff and children love and respect her. The teacher-to-student ratio is perfect. My daughter loves this school. We would not go anywhere else. Thank you.

CLS has truly been impactful to my child and our family. The entire school and staff have been such an impact in our lives in such little time! I really like the lower teacher-to-student ratio.

My children all attend CLS. We've been a part of CLS for 3 years, in this time my children have blossomed and have been welcomed into in a great environment with teachers who encourage and support us as parents and encourage the children to learn and grow in their own way. They don't push religion on the children nor parents, and are so very accepting of any background, culture, & characteristics. I recommend. CLS for anyone looking for a smaller teacher-to-student ratio, as well as a place for all your kiddos! They offer toddler programs, and preschool which was great for us as a family of multiple kids in different age groups.

In my experience, the school welcomes and includes families as partners in their children's learning. Christ Lutheran School.

Christ Lutheran School has been truly impactful to our kids and our family. The school holds high educational standards and really cares about each student. The school has much lower teacher-to-student ratios than public schools and it shows based on how quickly my kids are learning things. Last, but certainly not least, the school is a Confessional Lutheran school that holds to conservative values and integrates Christian education in all aspects of the school day. While my family is Lutheran, most kids at the school are not and some don't attend church. CLS has made available a quality education where parents can be assured that their children are being sheltered from the craziness of the world/public schools.

CLS is a great school for all families! The teachers and staff there really care about kids and take care of them academically and spiritually. It is a welcoming community full of love and kindness. Kids get to learn and grow while being rooted in the love of Jesus. It's comforting to know that good values are being taught to the kids while they receive a well-rounded education.
