Calvary Christian School is an alternative to the public school system where quality and affordability come in a safe and loving Christian environment.
The school opened its doors in the fall of 1977 with the goal of providing a place where parents can receive assistance in training their children academically, spiritually, and socially so that they will be equipped to serve God, home, church, community, and country.
A major goal of our school program is to help students develop a Christian worldview which includes looking to the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith (what to believe) and practice (how to act or behave).
K-12 courses are offered in a traditional setting with a strong academic curriculum that is taught from a Christian worldview perspective.

The staff and teachers provide an excellent environment that is safe and inclusive. The culture at Calvary is one of kindness, respect and also structure, and responsibility. While it's a small school, it's perfect for an appropriate student-to-teacher attention ratio and the students feel confident to speak up, and inclusive interact with not only those in their classroom but the children in all grades. It truly feels like a family. I'm also impressed by the efficiency of the communication around grades and schoolwork. The Renweb app is updated daily allowing parents to have a solid understanding of how their children are doing academically.

We absolutely love Calvary Christian school! We just started our daughter this year in kindergarten and the things she is accomplishing now are amazing. The staff feels like a big family and yet the classes are small enough that she feels like she gets individual attention every day. We are midway through kindergarten and she is reading fluently, doing math, can tell time, and surprises me every day with all the amazing things she knows in such a short amount of time.

We love this school. It has been perfect for our family. Small, local, private k-12! We are very happy with the academic program, we are happy that some of the classes are even online! We appreciate that the online classes are preparing our child for the future!

I lived in the wonderful community of Hollister for 6 years and had the privilege of teaching in Calvary Christian School during that time. The care and sweet attitude of the staff is outstanding and dedicated to the welfare and education of children. parental and school communication is awsome. Pastor Halberg and Mr. Mattish and all staff members are extremely qualified to educate and to minister to young people of all ages. I highly recommend the school .
