Notes for Prospective Students

Thank you for selecting Brenwood Academy as a place for your child to attend school this coming year. We are excited and prepared to help you through the admission process. The important steps in the Admissions process are listed below. We hope you will feel free to contact us if you have additional questions or concerns.

CAMPUS TOURS FOR ALL AGES INFANTS THROUGH ELEMENTARY
Campus tours are by appointment and may be arranged by calling Mary Dean Townsend, Head of School at 770-704-4925. We can schedule a time that is mutually convenient for you to visit.
APPLICATION AND ASSESSMENT FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
An application for admission must be completed and returned to the school with an application fee of $150 (non-refundable), and a copy of your child’s birth certificate. In addition a “Release of Transcript” form and a Teacher Recommendation Form will need to be delivered to your current school for them to complete and deliver to Brenwood Academy. Once the completed application, application fee, and birth certificate are received, we can schedule a one-on-one assessment for your child. The assessment takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and is an indicator of your child’s abilities according to age and grade.
DECISION
The information we gain from meeting with you during the tour, the application, transcripts, teacher recommendation form, and assessment session will help the admission’s team determine the suitability of your child for enrollment at Brenwood Academy. All documents from the current school must be received by the school prior to a decision being made. We believe that the decision for placement is one not taken lightly.
ENROLLMENT FOR ELEMENTARY
Upon notification of acceptance, new students will have two weeks to sign the Brenwood Academy Enrollment Agreement with the selection of a tuition payment option and to submit a non-refundable Enrollment Fee of $750.
Prior to Enrollment, the school will need to have on file a current immunization record (GA Form 3231), an ear, eye, and dental screening (GA Form 3300), and a copy of his/her social security card. Upon receipt of these items, your child will be officially added to the school roll.
