Notes for Prospective Students

Pre-K students must be 4 by September 1 and Kindergarten students must be 5 by September 1 to apply. For Pre-K and Kindergarten admissions, we follow the September 1 date as a guide. Applicants within the cutoff date may be considered after review by the admissions committee. In addition to your student's completed application, we require all applicants to provide additional documents including: - Parent Statement: A short form parents complete that gives us more perspective on your student's strengths and family interests. - Teacher Recommendation*: Via our admissions portal, parents send confidential teacher recommendations for students who have been enrolled in a daycare or school previously. - Report Card - For Applicants Grades 1-5**: Aspen Academy will accept the results of DAS II (Differential Abilities Scale), the WPPSI-IV or WISC-V, completed within the last year. There is no need for the applicant to take more than one test, and the Admission Committee does not prefer one test over another.You may submit scores directly to Admissions. As an option, you may register your child for testing with an evaluator from the DATC (Denver Area Testing Consortium).
