What is it like in an Apple Montessori classroom?
What is it like in an Apple Montessori classroom?
- Child-Centric Classroom Design:The furniture and materials are all conveniently child sized. This allows children to take charge of their own learning by following their passions and working at their own pace.
- Unique Classroom Management:No matter the classroom size, children thrive under the gentle guidance of our teachers. They are specially trained to facilitate learning and encourage students to pursue activities independently, complete tasks and solve problems.
- Purposeful Activities:Children participate in daily living tasks that help teach life-long lessons of personal responsibility. They use real materials to care for and take responsibility for their environment through activities such as washing dishes, putting away materials, and chopping fruit to offer to their classmates.
- Collaborative Community:Within our mixed-age classrooms, we encourage relationship-building, trust, and peer to peer learning experiences. Younger children learn from older ones who act as role models, and older students gain self-confidence by helping to inspire and guide younger students.
