Good for Children, Good for the World Agathos is a Greek word meaning good, that which is beneficial and worth passing on to others. Using the tools of classical education, Agathos Classical School assists Christian parents in teaching and training their children to the glory of God.
We desire our graduates to be young men and women who possess the classical tools that enable them to acquire the facts (grammar), reason clearly (logic), communicate effectively and persuasively (rhetoric), and live a life to the glory of God alone (Soli Deo Gloria).
They will know how to think rather than simply what to think.

Our daughter has attended Agathos for the past three years and is now in 5th grade. I cannot fathom her being in a different school. The class sizes are great, the culture is outstanding, and they are helping us raise our daughter into a thoughtful, intelligent person. I learned the other day that a friend in Maury County (2 grades above) is completing her first book report. With Agathos, the number has been 2 per quarter since the second grade. She is in her third year of Latin. The headmaster, Ted Trainer, is wonderful and communicative. The graduates I know from Agathos are also well-rounded young men and women. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to others. A bonus...Agathos is a fraction of the cost of some of the Davidson and Williamson County Schools, yet competes with them academically.
