School Overview
Overview
The Mount Academy is a four-year high school founded by the Bruderhof, a Christian community movement.
The Mount Academy strives to inspire its students to excellence in every undertaking, and to a life of serving and caring for others.
All instruction seeks to instill respect, self-discipline, and a strong work ethic to achieve the best academic learning possible, and help each student discover their individual strengths. The school is housed in the former Mount Saint Alphonsus seminary built by the Redemptorist Brothers in 1907 on the banks of the Hudson River.
In this magnificent setting, students are formed in the school ethos of excellence and service and inspired to give their best regardless of their ability.
Woodstock Day School is an independent school enrolling students in preschool through twelfth grade.
The dedicated faculty and small class sizes provide the academic expertise, nurturing environment, creativity, and thoughtful attention that help each child fulfill his or her potential while instilling in each young mind the values that are intrinsic to our school culture: responsibility, community, team building and respect.
Our 25-acre campus is an additional classroom, with beautiful mountain views, woods, pond, stream, and open fields.
