The continuing mission of Montessori Island School is to provide high quality childcare and early childhood education based upon the philosophy and methodology of Maria Montessori.
We do this by providing a safe and nuturing environment designed around the needs of the young child and their families, staffed by credentialed Montessori teachers and their trained classroom assistants.
The Children`s School provides a complete and authentic Montessori environment that fosters a love of learning in our children by adhering to Maria Montessori`s teaching methods.
Founded in 1972, our school is Key West`s oldest Montessori program, and has earned its reputation as the island`s premier Montessori school, educating children from 18 months through 8th grade.
