School Overview
Overview
For over twenty years Messiah has served the Plainfield Township community with a Christian Preschool.
Our experienced, caring staff provides a developmentally appropriate, nurturing Christian environment and curriculum for preschool children.
During their early years children need a stimulating environment which will provide them with experiences that will aid them in developing their potential.
They need supportive experiences which will help them develop a positive self-concept.
Messiah Lutheran Preschool offers a program with provides the child with a wide variety of learning experiences.
In a Christian environment a child will be able to explore his environment and will receive guidance as he participates in activities that breed success.
Although specific learning experiences are planned for each day, the atmosphere is not highly structured in order that developmental learning is used to its fullest.
Stepping Stones Montessori was established in 1983 by a group of dedicated parents.
It continues today with a Parent Board and functions as a non-profit.
Our programs currently serve children from the age of 3 to 15 years of age.
Stepping Stones Montessori is a member of the American Montessori Society.
Many of our faculty are active members of the North American Montessori Teacher's Association (NAMTA), the American Montessori Society (AMS) and Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).
Stepping Stones Montessori School nurtures global citizens and guides each child to realize their unique potential.
We are not a typical school. We aim to sustain an environment that enables each child to thrive as a life-long learner who is self-directed and responsible; self-confident and respectful; and self-aware and globally-conscious.
