Overview
Bishop Donahue has been celebrating its commitment to educating young men and women for 51 years.
In 1955, we opened our doors and quickly became the benchmark of a quality Catholic education.
We provide a rigorous academic program which challenges its students to use their intelligence creatively, constructively and orginally.
We strive to prepare our students not only for school but for life.
The Marist tradition exists primarily to foster our students' growth in the Catholic faith.
Committed to the education of the whole person, Bishop Donahue offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities which help to broaden and deepen the academic and spiritual development of our students.
Bishop Donahue is a Catholic high school that exists to create a safe student centered community that fosters academic achievement; help students grow intellectually, physically and socially; respond to our changing world by providing current technological and educational resources; instill the Gospel and Marist values of respect, love and compassion; serve the poor and unfortunate everywhere and teach all students to be adaptable, productive and responsible global citizens, so that all may enter to learn Christ and exit to serve Christ.
The mission of Central Catholic High School is based on the principle of Christian Education, which seeks to form Christian character so that the student will think and act in accordance with the teachings of Christ.
Keenly aware that education should draw forth those inherent qualities in the student which better him or her morally, socially and intellectually, the faculty and administration recognize their responsibility to present the truths which can best fulfill this purpose.
The integral development of the student takes place only in a Christian environment.
This development is governed by a genuine respect for the dignity of all persons affiliated with the school - students and staff members alike.
