School Notes

  • Lighthouse Christian School is a ministry of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and was founded in 1979. The School consist of a Pre-School, Elementary, and Middle/High School. The school's academic program is accredited by the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools and is a Category II State Agency approved school. Lighthouse Christian School Exists to glorify God by offering a Christ-centered, quality education that assists parents in training their children to be disciples of Jesus Christ. School is an institution set up by man for the education and training of our children. A school should provide both an environment and a curriculum conducive to effective learning. As a Christian school, it is our responsibility to build Christian character in our students. We believe that there is a natural need for well-defined boundaries governing their behavior. The teacher in the classroom is the authority and must be upheld and respected by the students and their parents. We expect our students to be honest and to exercise personal initiative in class work and homework.

What can I say about a perfect fit? There are many schools to choose from. This staff, the administrators and teachers, love not only the students, but also prepare them for moving into the next grade. They believe in Jesus, and are making disciples of these students who, God willing, will carry them through to adulthood. This has been a blessing to our family.

Lighthouse Christian School is a servant-hearted ministry to Antioch's local community. Not only does it offer a wide range of grades from preschool to 12th grade, but it participates in multiple community service events every year. In 2024, we raised over $20,000 for the school as well as for the distribution of 10,000 meals for local and overseas missions. We also hold weekly chapels with our students as a part of our spiritual development program. On top of all this, the school uses Abeka curriculum, which is academically excellent and Christ-centered, allowing for seamless transitions between grades. LCS also offers an award-winning and growing athletic program for boys and girls - this past season, our middle school boys basketball team won the State Championship! We look forward to many more wins and exciting seasons! All this to say... Lighthouse Christian School offers so much to students and families who are looking for an academically excellent and spiritually rich learning environment. I highly recommend you consider this school in your search.

Haven't been any happier with a school. The most amazing teachers that just love, and care for your child. They love teaching and it shows when the child runs into the classroom every morning or talks about school on the weekend. My youngest was struggling with so many things at the beginning of the year, with behavior and what she knew, to now knowing so many things I didn't even know she would learn and her behavior has done so much better. This school goes above and beyond to keep the children wanting to learn and get closer to God. Really wouldn't recommend any other place but this one <3
