I cannot say enough about Oakhill Christian School. Middle School and high school is tough enough and here they offer support and guidance at any time. All the teachers genuinely care about the academic as well as the spiritual side of every student. They have an art teacher who is an amazing artist herself who challenges the kids in their ability. They teach an advanced composition class that prepares the students for college. The biology and Spanish teacher displays a wonderful excitement about each new thing they are learning. That Bible teacher is filled with wisdom. He really challenges and encourages the kids to ask questions. What the school may lack in sports they by far make up in every other area. The smaller class sizes make one-on-one help readily accessable. The kids have direct contact with some teachers after school and are encouraged to do so. Whether it's an academic issue or a personal one there is someone they can contact. My daughter started here last year as a freshman and I was so impressed with how things are done. They really focus on building relationship with eachother in a healthy way and the older kids mentor the younger kids. They are aware they are an example and stay mindful of this throughout the day. They even have the kids clean the school on Fridays. This school was a Godsend for us and one that keeps God at the top where He should be.
