Discovery Academy of Provo Utah, made many promises. They even put them in writing. Then, once they had my signature, and their money, they broke all of their promises and policies. They violated our HIPAA rights repeatedly with a male family member with a history of emotional abuse to my daughter and myself. Clinical Director, Brian Allred had false credentials on the website. When this was discovered, he still kept his job. Bait and Switch are ok at Discovery Academy, as long as it's just the kids and families being harmed. Discovery Therapists were openly hostile and unprofessional. They taught my daughter behaviors making her grossly socially and academically dysfunctional, and called it "assertiveness training." They actually caused harm to kids and families because they refuse to follow professional standards. Parents, there are other options. Please do not trust Discovery Academy with your teen, unless Craig Rollo and Brian Allred are no longer working at this facility. These two therapists are responsible fir a great deal of harm to our family, and neither federal nor state regulators will do a thing about it. Discovery Academy also consisyantly refuses full access to their minor teens records for parents, despite Utah law saying they must provide patents full access, and Federal Hipaa law saying they must follow Utah state disclosure laws with parents of minors.I regret I cannot give this school negative 5 stars.
