Notes for Prospective Students

Your first step in becoming a part of Waxahachie Preparatory Academy is to attend one of our Informational Meetings. Please visit our website, email or call our registrar, for a listing of our Meeting dates. After attending the Informational Meeting, the next step is to complete the application documentation. For a look at the application, please visit our website, select the Admissions tab, then Forms on the left bar, to locate our application documents available for download. If your child is entering the 2nd grade and above, a placement test is required to determine appropriate abilities in math and English; a Stanford or Iowa Basic Test taken within one year of the application process will be accepted in lieu of placement testing. Finally, a family interview with a Board member and a veteran WPA family member is necessary to ensure your family will be successful in this model. During this informal meeting, parents and the student have the opportunity to share their interest and ask questions about University-Model schooling. Upon the final evaluation of WPA representatives and your family, you will be notified of your student's acceptance at WPA. WPA's primary goal is your student's academic, spiritual, and social success as a part of the WPA family!
