Notes for Prospective Students
Once a family believes The Hillside School may be an appropriate
fit for the child`s needs through a conversation and
tour, we encourage the family to submit an online inquiry and
begin the application process. After an application and necessary
documents have been uploaded to our admissions
portal, the Admissions Team will begin a review of the
admissions file. The Admissions Team then invites students who
appear to be an appropriate fit to spend a day with us here at The
Hillside School for further observation. The Admission Team will
make a final admission determination within two weeks of the
student's visit. The following documents must be submitted in order
to be considered for admission: A non-refundable application fee of
$50, a Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation, or a
Neuropsychological Educational Evaluation completed within the past
2 years, an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)/504 plan, recent
report cards from your child's school, if available, and any other
supporting documentation such as, but not limited to
Speech/Language Evaluation, Physical Therapy Evaluation and/or
Occupational Therapy Evaluation. Additional materials and/or
testing may be requested by the Admissions Team if further
clarification is deemed necessary. * We understand that a
kindergarten, first, or second-grade student who struggles with
reading, writing, and/or math may not yet have all of the required
documents. For these students, other supporting documentation may
be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the
Admissions Team.
