Notes for Prospective Students

Our student population is comprised of students whose emotional disabilities impair their ability to successfully complete their academic requirements, despite average to above-average academic potential. Primary disability classifications include: Emotional Disability (ED), Autism (AUT), Specific Learning Disability and Other Health Impaired (OHI). The school accepts students in grades 6 through and 12, ages 11 to 21. Students accepted into NewHope are able to manage their own behavior and do not require physical management. NewHope also offers transition services to students ages 18-21 to assist with post-secondary success.
