Notes for Prospective Students

No prior knowledge or experience with the German or Mandarin language is required to be a twos, preschool, or Kindergarten students at the GIS of Portland. Children may enter our program at 2 years old. We offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and are a full Immersion program in either German or Mandarin. Our Middle school is a continuation of the German and Mandarin Immersion with an addition of an English based track for children coming from other schools with an interest in language learning,
